Truro & Falmouth 18th-20th July 2025
Between the 18th and 20th of July, Truro & Falmouth was flooded with small posters, advertising the Broach.
The idea was to get plenty of people,
all using Broach, all close to one another.
Break out of online life!
These three days were an opportunity to
break out of our increasingly online lives.
How many new people could we meet?
What amazing things could we...
discuss organise
share find build do
make solve create
...together?
The results?
135 downloads. Approximately 90 active users.
12 instances of real-world broaching.
At least 2 lasting, meaningful
new friendships.
The collected data also highlighted key improvements
for Broach's user-experience design, as well as
crucial information on which networking methods work
best for Broach in practice.
All thanks to...
+150 local businesses who generously helped with the poster campaign.
Oxford University Cornwall Alumni Network provided funding.
A massive thank you to everyone who made this project possible.
